Even You Can Make A Difference

Nobody will ever deprive the American people of the right to vote except the American people themselves and the only way they could do this is by not voting.

- Franklin D. Roosevelt

Tomorrow is a very important day–It's election day!

I can't help but be excited and scared at the same time. I'm excited because whichever candidate wins, tomorrow is going to be a historical day. I'm scared for the exact same reason.

Many Americans are refusing to vote because they either feel their vote won't matter or because they feel there aren't any truly qualified candidates. Maybe you feel the same way. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, which is the beautiful thing about this country, but you can and will make a difference by voting.

A couple weeks ago, I was having a conversation with a friend about social issues in Ghana. My friend is super passionate about getting the political leaders in Ghana to act and help eliminate some of the social issues there. He feels it's the government's responsibility. I told my friend that yes, political leaders should do something about the issues, however so can he even if it's on a much smaller scale.

There are people all over who are taking a stand to make a difference in the world. Even the tiniest effort, such as voting, can have a great impact.

The world is a giant jigsaw puzzle, and you are a necessary piece in it. It takes a bunch of small pieces joining together in order to get one step further in solving the puzzle. Every piece counts. Every effort counts. Every vote counts.

Challenge: It would be remiss of me to not challenge you this week to

get out and vote!
