Nothing is Too Hard for God.

“I am the Lord, the God of all the peoples of the world. Is anything too hard for me?”

- Jeremiah 32:27

A few years ago, I used to babysit a little girl who I absolutely adored. I'll call her Sasha. Every month, Sasha’s mom would email me the school schedule so I would know what days I was off work.

I remember being off work the week of Valentine's day, so I made plans to do some freelance work that week. As I was getting ready the morning of V-day, I got a text from Sasha's father telling me that he was giving me a paid day off.

"A day off?" I thought to myself. "I'm not even babysitting Sasha this week." I

was confused, so I went back to the email that her mama sent me.

My confusion immediately turned to fear because I realized that I read the dates wrong. I wasn't supposed to be off the entire week.

If Sasha’s dad hadn't texted me to give me the day off, I wouldn't have been there to pick her up from the bus. The mere thought of Sasha's bus pulling up to her house and no one being there to get her made me start freaking out.

But just as I started to panic, I felt God speak to my heart and say, "My grace is sufficient for you." Chills ran over my body and my eyes started to water.

God really does care about me. His grace protected me. And her.

"And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work." - 2 Corinthians 9:8

The grace of God covered me when I didn't even know I needed covering. And if that wasn't enough, He added a blessing—I got paid for the day.

Throughout the 2.5 years that I babysat Sasha, God constantly showed me that He was in the midst.

One time, I accidentally got on the wrong train headed to the opposite side of Brooklyn from where Sasha lived. I had to take an Uber to her house, which was risky because I knew I might not get to her in time. But God worked it out so that my car pulled up to Sasha’s house at the exact time that her bus got there.

Once again, I made a mistake and God covered me.

God’s grace is truly sufficient for you. When you let God direct your path, even if you make mistakes along the way, He will work all things out for good.

I'm convinced that God allows us to go through obstacles so that we learn to trust Him more. And when we do, the lasting outcome is always better than our temporary pain.

“I am the Lord, the God of all the peoples of the world. Is anything too hard for me?”

- Jeremiah 32:27

This scripture spoke to my heart yesterday as I was reflecting on how God came through for me in the obstacles that I faced throughout my life.

You may be discouraged by what you’re currently seeing on the news, but God is a miracle-working God, and His grace is sufficient.

When you’re facing challenges and things seem impossible, know there’s nothing too hard for God.
